Hi,
I'm hoping to convert a cell (with no formating in it), which describes time in minutes and seconds to seconds and milliseconds.
Cheers, Nic

What does the value in the cell represent?
If days, the format as [m].ss.000
Entia non sunt multiplicanda sine necessitate
just minutes and seconds. but the cell isnt formated in that way, its just formated as number. because whaen i atempt to format it as MM.SS it changes the numbers
What's an example of a "number"?

Sorry if im being a bit ambiguous by number i mean, that when you go into the formating cells dialog, you choose the category 'number' and the format as 'general' instead of say.. date(catergory) and 31/12/1999(format) . I think its the formating that is the norm for cells.
If the cell contains the value 4.5, and that means 4 1/2 minutes, then to convert it to seconds multiply by 60. To display the number with millisecond precision, format to show three decimals: 270.000
