Unhappy Calculate Dates with Conditional Formatting

    Hi everybody,

I'm not sure if this is even possible but here it goes:

I have people taking vacation 5 or 6 times a year. I need to present a table showing how long they have worked & how long they were on vacation. This is represented by colored bars (Green/Red) which should be automatically highlighted depending on the dates I input (Column C:N).

The spreadsheet has 52 weeks (columns) for a year.

I'm sure the tricky part will be how to put the total days in each bars and merge/center them for easy navigation.

I've attached a sample worksheet for reference and more explanation.

Thanks even for just checking it out.

Ok..maybe no need to merge, just to compute the days then automatically highlight the weeks but still include the # of days inside the colored bar.
Pls. tell me which is not possible so I can try a different approach in my spreadsheet. All I need is to show a schedule of vacation dates in 1 sheet for a whole year. I tried doing monthly before with complete days but I'm using Excel 2003 & the columns aren't enough & it's too long. So I did weekly. The bars are important to show a clear picture and days inside the bars also helps in reviewing each persons rotation.
Pls. let me know if there's any suggestion on this file if it can still be done better.
