Multiplying multiple columns based on current column

I have the current problem, say I have X columns, A,B,...X, and 5 rows,

    I need to multiply:

    A1:A5*B1:B5*...*X1:X5

is there a way to do this without having to type in the C,D,E,F... columns etc.?

It is not really clear what it is you are multiplying here?

Is it the sum of each of those ranges? Or is it just the product of all the cells in the entire range.
Where there is a will there are many ways.

    Just term by term,

    A B
    2 3
    3 4

    =
    6
    12
