Gantt Chart with conditional formatting

Hi, There
I am trying to put together a gantt chart. See what i have done in the attached file. I need help with the following using conditional formatting.
1- I need main activities (1.1 and 1.2) to show in a different color to that of their respective subactivities, but adding to total of their respective subactivities.
2- The end date for activity 1.1 is 10 June 2010, but shading ends 03 June 2010. How do I make it shade upto 10 June as well
3 - How do put solid lines around the shadings to make them stand out (both main and subactivities).
4 - How do I deal with smaller periods like for item 1.1.1, which does not get shaded

Hi Thanks for the responds. Its not exactly what I am looking for. I need conditonal formating route beause the spreadsheet is long.
