    Split cells

Hello, is there a way to split a cell (empty or filled) into 2 or more cells in Excel 2003? Thank you.

If you want to split the contents the Text to Columns from the Data menu. You can't have two or three cells in one column
    Hope that helps.

Ok, I was hoping to convert 1 cell into 2 cells. Similar to merging rows 1 - 4 and 6 -10 of columns D and E, so that row 5 appears to be cells.

You can't divide one cell into two; how would you reference it?

And I would recommend you don't use Merged Cells at any time, they will cause problems eventually
