    Post Laptop + Win 7 + Excel = Weird formatting?

    Greetings.

    I'm having trouble getting workbooks that have looked fine for 15 years, on 20+ different computers, to display correctly. When these workbooks are opened on either of my dad's two new laptops, the formatting is screwed up pretty badly.

    Rows will be twice as thick, text will align to the top(even though it's set to align to the bottom), button text will be so tiny it can't be read, etc.

    This happens with Excel 95 and Excel 2010, which are both installed. On my desktops PCs, the files look fine. I may try a new video driver next. If anyone knows what's going on and how to fix it, please let me know.

    Thanks.

    I had a bunch of similar-sounding problems which turned out to be that my Arial font had disappeared from the Win7 computer for some reason. Reinstalled them off the old computer and all was well.

    How did you manage to install Excel '95 on a Win 7 platform?
    I couldn't install '98 on Vista, what did I do wrong?

    Hmmm I'll check the fonts. I noticed that web pages look weird too. Elements overlap, text will be tiny, etc. I hope it's not something wrong in the registry.

    @Marcol

    I'm not sure exactly how my dad made it work. He's a wizard : )
