    SUMIF Query

    Hi,

I wondering if you anyone can asssist with a SUMIF query. I am trying to link the criteria to the text content of a cell but it is not letting me do it i.e. A5 . Iis it possible? If I put "=Test" then it works.

    =SUMIF(Sheet1!$D$37:$D$312,=A5,Sheet1!F$37:F$310)

    Many Thanks

    Rod

    Re: SUMIF Query

Don't put the equal sign or if you do, then you need "="&A5

    =SUMIF(Sheet1!$D$37:$D$312,A5,Sheet1!F$37:F$310)

    or

    =SUMIF(Sheet1!$D$37:$D$312,"="&A5,Sheet1!F$37:F$310)
Where there is a will there are many ways.
