    Comparing cells and ordering

    Hi everyone,

I'm currently trying to solve a problem where I have 5 cells within a row that need ordering. I need them to be in a specific order - Age,Gender,Size,Theme,Price

But at the moment the values are in many different orders such as Gender,Theme,Price,Age,Size. Each value with the cell starts with the category

    So:-
    A2 contains gender_male
    B2 contains price_10
    C2 contains age_30-40
    D2 contains size_12

I've been struggling to find a solution on Google or these forums so I'm wondering if anyone can shed any light?

    Thanks

    McKenzie

To best describe or illustrate your problem you would be better off attaching a dummy workbook, the workbook should contain the same structure and some dummy data of the same type as the type you have in your real workbook - so, if a cell contains numbers & letters in this format abc-123 then that should be reflected in the dummy workbook.

If needed supply a before and after sheet in the workbook so the person helping you can see what you are trying to achieve.

Doing this will ensure you get the result you need!

Here is an example of the current data set. It has some missing value too but that shouldnt be a problem as long as if the data is still in the correct order.

As you can see at the minute the data cells are in the wrong sections. Is it possible to move them to the correct ones?

    Thanks for you time.
