    Unhappy Help with incrementation

    Hi,

New enough to excel and am doign a spreadsheet. I have a list (say List A) that takes values from a another list (call List B). However i only need every 4th value from List B. So i have entered in the cells for List A - E6, E10, E14 etc (List B is in column E). I dont want to keep putting them in manually and the select them and drag trick is not working. What i mean by that is if i select a few where the gap between each E-VALUE is 4 i assumed it would continue this pattern. However it seems to be giving random numbers. I cant move the first number from the 6th row either as I am working from a standardised format. Is there something I can do as the list is exhaustively long and entering them manually would take all week.

    Your help would be appreciated.

    copy down
