an excel row cutting off the bottom of text?

I have inherited an excel spreadsheet full of data. It uses several merged cells. One of the merged cells contains several lines, the last of which is only partially visible. I can fix this by manually adjusting the cell height, but I'd rather figure out what the problem is, and how to fix it. Any suggestions?

    Thanks,
    Rob

Excel doesn't always handle merged cells that well. Best to avoid them if you can, IMO.
