excel file slow

there are many possible reasons why your file is slow, among them

- using volatile functions like Indirect, Offset
- using array formulae or Sumproduct with large ranges (worst of all, whole column or row ranges)
- using a lot of conditional formatting

All these will cause Excel to either calculate after any cell is changed or do a lot of calculations at any one time.

This is hard to troubleshoot without seeing the workbook. Can you post a few of the formulae you are using?
