    Text Manipulation

    I have a long list of part numbers and need to eliminate a common character in each.

    e.g.

    asd*123
    asd*456
    fhsd*54664
    sd*34

    I want

    asd123
    asd456
    etc without the asterisk

    i did that and that replaces the entire contents of the cell. I only want to get rid of the * and leave the rest

    You need to include the ~ before the *

    substitute commas with semi-colons if your region settings requires

    If you go to "Help" and type "Wildcard" it will give you a basic understanding of what ChemistB means.
