    Do i use rule/sum/if

    Hi there,

    Sorry if this has been posted in the wrong section.

    I need help with creating a rule/sum/if im not sure.


    I need to calculate cell M1 to equal if anything is selected from Column A to = the equivalent from Column B

    I type in, in L1 ACT, NSW, etc it will auto insert in L1 10, 5 etc


    I have a work sheet 1
    Column A Column B
    ACT 10
    NSW 5
    NT 10
    QLD 5
    SA 11
    TAS 8
    VIC 10
    WA 10

    Hope this makes sense

    where A1:B8 is your table and L1 contains your State abbreviations to be included in the total.
