Calculating actual hours worked only in core hours

    Hello,

I have been working on a timesheet but the problem I have come across is calculating actual hours worked only in the core hours and any work outside the core hours is calculated in the outside hours column. A standard work day is 7.6 hours working between 8.30am and 5.00pm. However if someone was to commence work either before 6am or after 8pm this is outside of core hours. I have attached an example of my timesheet for you to see what I am talking about.

Thanks to anyone who can give me some advice. I know I am missing something pretty basic but I have drawn a blank .

    Regards,
    Val C

    Hi Val,

I simply subtracted the Core from the regular. Look at the file attached. Did that do it?

Thanks, that appeared to have worked. I appreciate it.

VAl Just wanted to pop my head in & say that your time sheet helped me out big time with working out a formula to get the dates to fill automatically! thankyou! I was getting a headache from it & probably just looking too hard if you know what I mean. I'm still having trouble with working out a formula for hours that fall outside of regular 8hr days. so now to find a not to complex answer for that!
