    vlookup strange behaviour . . . why?

    Hello Ppl

i am having this strange behaviour using VLOOKUP, perhaps an limitation allready known but that i do not know about.

I have an vlookup "table" to find some prices for some kinds of equipment.
The problem is that there is 3 equipments that are very very similiar and excel dont get the values correctly, and if we use an value that its not on the "table" excel just gives an value that he finds best ...

i have an excel file attatch so that you can see what i mean..
Can you help me with this ?

p.s. the equipment names are in portuguese, sorry for that, but the question is in the lengt and similiar of them so language dont mather...i think...

you need to specify the optional fourth argument as FALSE:
    =IF(ISNA(VLOOKUP(A2,$G$18:$H$25,2,FALSE)),"",VLOOKUP(A2,$G$18:$H$25,2,FALSE))
