Exclamation Made a mistake under Advanced Options...

Under Excel - Options - Advanced - General, I entered a path under "At startup open all files in [path]". Well it's gotten me into trouble because it wants to open all non-Excel files. I went in under safe mode, but it won't let me access the Advanced tab. How can I delete the path I entered? Thanks - any help would be appreciated.

Hi Hullonian, welcome to the forum.

In the Windows Registry, check the following location:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Excel\Options

Look for the key "AltStartup". Double-click it, then delete the path from the 'Value data' field and click OK. Close the Registry and restart Excel.
