Excel 2007 : Assigning drop down to a cell using script

Hi,
I am new to Excel. Please help me with the below problem:

I have created a button in sheet 1 and on click of this button i have written a code which will create a drop down and also populate values into the drop down. i want this drop down to appear in cell A10 of sheet 1. How can i ensure this?

Why do you want to do this? hy don't you use Data Validation in Cell A10?

I'm sure that would have the same effect without having to use code.

Hi,
The cell where i want to put the drop down is not static. Based on a few conditions, i am to decide the cell where the drop down should appear.

Hi,
Thanks a lot for the response. It was really helpful. I was able to create the drop downs.

I have two other queries:
1. Is it possible for me to name this drop down.
2. Also, when i select this drop down, i want to get the selected value in the script.

Is there a solution for the above? Please help.
