Creating Macro's to Create Columns and turn change data structure

There are a few things I need to be able to do in macros, which I have no idea how to do, im not very good with VB at all.

First: To insert 2 columns at specific point (Just the same as right click, insert x2)

Second: Data in columns B needs to be changed so it does: Data Tab(at top of screen) > Text to columns > Delimited > Uncheck "Tab" > Check "Other" > Insert "-" > Press Finish

However the whole of B isn't data, it has groups of data and i change it alot so its not the same, I need a way to make sure it only does the second part of the macro to cells with data with the structure of: *-*-* (the *'s are numbers or letters...)

I have no idea if its possible to see what cells have no color in the background and for it to only run the second part of the macro on them

    Example: http://img291.imageshack.us/img291/6245/123lsi.png

Re: Need help with a few macro's

Your post does not comply with Rule 1 of our Forum RULES. Your post title should accurately and concisely describe your problem, not your anticipated solution. Use terms appropriate to a Google search. Poor thread titles, like Please Help, Urgent, Need Help, Formula Problem, Code Problem, and Need Advice will be addressed according to the OP's experience in the forum: If you have less than 10 posts, expect (and respond to) a request to change your thread title. If you have 10 or more posts, expect your post to be locked, so you can start a new thread with an appropriate title.
To change a Title on your post, click EDIT then Go Advanced and change your title, if 2 days have passed ask a moderator to do it for you.
    Hope that helps.
