    cell changes color on date listed in cell?

    My spreadsheet lists eligible contractors. One criterion of eligibility is current insurance coverage.

    Each record has an insurance expiration date cell.

    Can I make it so that these cells turn red on the date listed therein?

    If so, how?

    I have messed around with Conditional Formatting but since I can't change the system date (locked out by admin) I can't really test how my efforts are responding when the calendar clicks over.

    Thank you very much for considering my request for help.

    If you want red only on the day that it becomes equal to today's date, then choose:

    Cell Value is >> equal to >> =TODAY() (this is so blank doesn't get highlighted).

    or if you want to colour red if in the past.

    Cell Value is >> is between >> 1 and >> =TODAY()
    Where there is a will there are many ways.
