    Changing Data in Multiple Cells

    Using Excel 2003

    Question:

    I have a schedule that covers one full year. A B C D are the shift names in each cell and I want to change each letter to an initial.

    Example:

    A = JG
    B = MF
    C = JF
    D = MM

    Is there any way to change all the ( A ) cells to ( JG ) in one action?

    Thanks for any help.

    I'm not quite sure I understand what you're after.

    If you want to replace each occurrence of "A" with "JG", you could use find and replace. Make sure to tick the "Match entire cell contents" box in the Options, otherwise every A in the sheet will be replaced, so "Day" would become "DJGy".

    cheers
