    IF Statements - Apportion Contract Value

    Please help in the attached file i need to apportion a backlog amount over the remaining months of the contract. i have done some of the formual so that it looks at the end date and apportions the amount over the remaining months of the contract, however the total is more than the backlog figure.

    Many Thanks

    In G5 and copy across,

    =MAX(0, MIN($B5, EOMONTH(G$4, 0)) - MAX(TODAY(), G$4) + 1) * $F5

    Re: IF Statements - Apportion Contract Value

    cheers dude, doesnt work, maybe i havnt explained my self, i want the £8k spread evenly over the period of the contract, so i require a statement to say no values beyond Dec 10. So Au 10 - Dec should read £1600 and the from Jan onwards should be zero as the contract would have ended.

    Thanks

    Cheers, dude, here's the result of the formula.

    Your formulas in E and F compute the Daily Rate based on the backlog spread from TODAY() to the end of the contract, not from inception.
