    Remove unwanted cell fill from blank cell

    I have a formula to have cell J3 display the sum of G3+I3 as long as I3 is not blank.

    Then I have conditional formatting set to fill J3 red if the value of j3 is greater than the value of L3.

    My problem is if there is no value in I3 then J3 is shaded red. I want it to remain with no fill color until G and I both have entries.

    Can I change either formula to leave J3 unfilled?

    In J3, =IF(I3="", "", G3+I3)

    In CF, =AND(J3>L3, J3<>"")
