    how to ignore #VALUE!

    I have three rows....
    Row A, B and C
    Row B has a formulae.
After Calculation from Row A - I get a output of #VALUE! in row B (sometimes not always)
Row C - is an addition of Row A and B.
Is it possible to ignore this value and just make it blanks?

    Please help wme with this.

    Thank you.

Do mean columns A, B, and C? Rows are numbers, columns are letters.

Try this in C1 and copy down:

    =IF(ISERR(A1+B1),"",A1+B1)

#value results from calculating with text. Me be you put in a date not complete, it would be a text.

    Re: how to ignore #VALUE!

To best describe or illustrate your problem you would be better off attaching a dummy workbook, the workbook should contain the same structure and some dummy data of the same type as the type you have in your real workbook - so, if a cell contains numbers & letters in this format abc-123 then that should be reflected in the dummy workbook.

If needed supply a before and after sheet in the workbook so the person helping you can see what you are trying to achieve.

Doing this will ensure you get the result you need!
    Hope that helps.

You may have a deeper problem to solve; I should have said so in my earlier post. You may be able to prevent the #VALUE! error altogether. What is the formula you are using in column B?
