The data in my pivot table will not sort by date correctly. The source data is sorted correctly, however in the Pivot table the dates are out of sequence and seemed to sorted like a number rather than a date.
The Source column is formatted as a date and I formatted the Pivot as well. I have used the advance filed options for sorting as well as the Sort/Top 10 function in the pivot table.
Why is this happening.
There are two fields with dates is this a problem.
You could try to format the original date data using the datevalue function. Sometime pivot tables will migrate to interpreting the dates as text.
