Stacked bar graph with cumulative %

    Hi all,

I need to create a graph with Excel 2003 using stacked bars with cumulative %.

Now the bar shows 96%, 1%, 2% and 0% but I need it to show 96%, 97%, 99% and 100%. Please view the attached pic if what I wrote is not clear.

Is there a way to do that? A friend of mine told me is not possible, but maybe with some workaround...

Thanks in advance for your help.

    This might help: http://www.andypope.info/charts/StackColTotal.htm

    Thank you Dom.

Am I wrong or that page does not tell you how to add the cumulative value (% in my case) for each block?

You're right I think. I'm fairly sure I've seen a way to do what you are asking but just can't remember how.

I thought it might be along the lines of creating a running total and then overlapping the columns but having tried I might be wrong. Will let you know if I come up with anything.

Re: Stacked bar graph with cumulative %

You can do it with revised data and a cluster column with the overlap set to 100%.

Notice how the scale does not automatically start at 0, which distorts the true meaning of the values.
