Excel Filtering by last 2 characters - help needed!

Select AutoFilter from the Data menu. (I do not have Excel 2003 on the machine I am on at the moment so I can't double check the menu sequence and details.) At the top of the column with your data you can click on the dropdown arrow and create a custom filter. You should be able to specify "Ends with" twice joined with "or", IIRC.

This is quite straightforward in 2007, but there may have been some changes in autofilter options from 2003.



If this doesn't seem to get you there, another kludgy but quick method is to create a "helper" column. In B2 put

=RIGHT(A2,2)

Then you can do autofilter on that column, and check the boxes to show "_L" and "_P".
