    Mass find and replace

I have a baseball website I run as a hoby. I have downloaded last years stats into a spreadsheet but before I upload into my sql database so I can play with the data I need to get all the player_id 's from my database into the excel spreadsheet. I can export them from sql to make a list so that I can reference to do a find and replace or find and update of some sort but I dont know how to do this using my list. Please help.

I have attached a sample wookbook with starting point refernece and desired results. Thank you.

NOTE: In the spreadsheet I have attached I dont actually need the player name only the ID going forward that is why I thought it easiest to do a find and replace. Then I could just delete the player id column and go on with life.

    Re: Mass find and replace

To best describe or illustrate your problem you would be better off attaching a dummy workbook, the workbook should contain the same structure and some dummy data of the same type as the type you have in your real workbook - so, if a cell contains numbers & letters in this format abc-123 then that should be reflected in the dummy workbook.

If needed supply a before and after sheet in the workbook so the person helping you can see what you are trying to achieve.

Doing this will ensure you get the result you need!
