    "sumif" not working with "today()"?

    Hi,
    I have installed:

    Microsoft Excel 2008 for Mac
    Version 12.2.7 (100910) with same installed update

    It doesn't work this formula:

    =SUMIF($C$2:$C$5,">today()",$A$2:$A$5)

    Please see dummy file attached. Example is taken from Excel help, SUMIF

    I wonder if it is supposed to be this way or I have anything wrong in the software.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    You need a small change to the syntax - try this

    =SUMIF($C$2:$C$5,">"&today(),$A$2:$A$5)
    Audere est facere

    dll has shown the correct syntax, however, on the off chance you might still experience issues:

    we recently became aware of an issue with SUMIFS not working with dates correctly in XL2008, the resolution was:

    I've no idea if this issue affects SUMIFS exclusively (I suspect not) but regardless given you may/may not be using this function with dates it's worth being made aware of.
