Excel 2007 : Owner locked out of their own Excel doc

I have a user that is unable to open an excel document. She is the owner of the spreadsheet. The error message states: "You do not have credentials that allow you to open this workbook. You can request updated permission from [email protected]. Do you want to request permission?" Options are Change User, Yes, NO. If you click yes, an email opens which is address to her. Any suggestions

I have checked if she has changed her network password. The document is in a shared folder and is not opened by another. Also no temp docs in folder.
