formula for showing product life (in days/months or years)

    Hi

Just wondering if anyone new a cool way to calculate the product life and display it in either days months or years (most suitable)

ive attached a spreadsheet that just displays it in days.

If anyone could point me in the direction that'd be great thanks!

    Hi,

Why not just format the cell as appropriate. e.g for years : months : days specify in the custom format

    "y : m : d"

    maybe this?

If you've not used Datedif( before, type it exactly as i've done. It's an old formula that doesn't have any supporting helpfile within excel but it does the trick
