Sum cells from data based on dates?

Hi,

Haven't posted in a long long time! I am requesting some help, to what I feel will be close to the finishing touches on my pilot logbook excel.

I'm hoping to somehow to a date look back, from today(), looking back 30, 60, 90, 120, 180, and 365 days. Now, I have all the dates of respective flights in Column A. In Column F I have the total hours for the respective date. I'd somehow like it to basically look at today's date, compare to Column A, figure up to a date X amount of days prior, and add up that many cells from Column F.

Is this even remotely possible? It is helpful as we pilots have to have look backs on all those days when doing job apps and such, and this would simplify a TON for me!

Any help would be greatly appreciated! I already owe the current state of my logbook to you wonderful people!

You've just registered today. What do you mean?

To best describe or illustrate your problem you would be better off attaching a dummy workbook, the workbook should contain the same structure and some dummy data of the same type as the type you have in your real workbook - so, if a cell contains numbers & letters in this format abc-123 then that should be reflected in the dummy workbook.

If needed supply a before and after sheet in the workbook so the person helping you can see what you are trying to achieve.

Doing this will ensure you get the result you need!

I was recently banned under another name, due to mis-communication. I have since smoothed it over with mod royUK.

I will try to make a dummy one and attach it here soon. I am hoping this complex issue (or simple maybe even) can be figured out

Hi teylyn,

I'm sorry to hear that. Fair enough. I have since smoothed it over with royUK, as it was a misunderstanding for the most part. I have since apologized.
