Copying conditional format rules

I have spreadsheet with 10000 rows & 11 columns of data.
I want the text in the cells in the row to be red until a certain cell in that row is filled in then the text will turn black.
I know how to do the conditional format formula but I don't know if there is a way to propagate the conditional format into the remaining rows without having to retype it in for each cell.
When I try to just copy the 1st row, all of the rows will change color with the 1st row.
Attached is a sample of what I am trying to do.

Go to Conditional Formatting | Manage Rules.

Select and Edit your rule and change formula to =$J2>0 (remove the $ from before the 2)... then click Ok.

Now change the applies to range to something like =$B$2:$I$100 or whatever you desire.
