    Conditional Formatting Time

    Help Excel Gurus,

I'm trying to get the cells in column D to turn yellow 15 minutes away from the current time, and RED after the current time has passed. I'd also like to make the cells in Column D go colorless when the corosponding cell in Column E has data input into it. Please see attached. I'm having trouble telling excel to play attention to the minutes, and id like to keep the date and time in the same format (day-month-year military time). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Re: Conditional Formatting Time

Thank you its working well but the formula to highlight yellow is highlighting everything before the current time yellow and not just those within the 15 minutes prior window. Is it the formula or user error on my part? Thank you

Can you show, via a new attachment what you mean.

The yellow was intended to highlight only if there was an entry of any kind made in the adjacent corresponding cell... it had nothing to do with time, as I understood your requirement.

    Re: Conditional Formatting Time

Thank you again for your assistance, to simplify this please ignore column E. My primary goal is for the cells in column D to turn yellow 15 minutes before the time in the cell. So some variation of the (NOW()) formula would have to be used. So the cells would be colorless at 0900 but would turn yellow at 0915 if the time in the D cells was 0930. Depending what time you look at the attached, it shows the cells a few hours away as yellow as well when they should be colorless. However your formula to turn the cells red after the NOW time is working great. Thank you.
