Hi There,
I inherited a huge spreadsheet with many tabs and a lot of comment cells.
Whenever I open this spreadsheet, it takes more than 10 secs to open the file... even when I switch from 1 spreadsheet and back.
It is very frustrated when I am pressed for time to get my work done.
Is there anyway to solve this??

Analyze the formulas in use and restructure them to use less volatile functions and arrays.
If the comments are of no use, remove them. You can Google to find macros to remove comments from your worksheet(s) all at once.
Post your wb or samples/excerpts of it for any more specifics...

Re: Loading of excel file slows down due to comment cells
The same file opens normally on the computer who is the owner of the comments. just that on my side, when i open the file, i can see it process/loading the comments on the bottom left hand corner of Excel.
I need the comments and cannot delete them.

I doubt if the comments slow loading, more likely the computers have different specs
