    Talking Excel formatting help

I have an excel sheet that I need to set to format. in column A i have truck #'s and in Column B I have due dates for a certain service, like an oil change. I want to set excel to color code these, i.e. if 45 days or more past due to be one color, 1-44 days past due another color. if they will be due or past due within 30 days another color and if non of these criteria no color. can someone explain how to set this up? thanks!

    Re: Excel formatting help

Hi Brent, welcome to the forum.

Here's a basic example of using conditional formats to highlight due dates. It's shown in Excel 2003 or previous, but the same principal applies (using formulas to create formats).

In Excel 2007, though, you can have more than three conditions, which is nice. Hope that helps!
