Question How to allow to change drop-down selection in a protected sheet

I have a form with a few drop-down list. In order to protect all other content, I protected the sheet, allowing the user to select unlocked cells, and I unlocked all fields and drop-down controls. However, while the fields can be selected and modified, the controls can be selected, the drop-down list appears, but when we do a selection, it states the cell or graphic is in read-only. How can I ensure the user can change the selection of this list when the sheet is protected?

    Thanks!

    Annie

Ok, I managed to find the answer, in the end... It's only that I unlocked all objects, but I did not unlock the cells that were associated to it. Now done! :P

Hi, may i ask how did u do that? can i know what is the step? i want to protect all cell in order to prevent modify by user, however, i want left the cell which have drop down list is unprotected and can let user to search the item inside drop down list. because i have try some way and even though i right click format cell > protected> uncheck both the item. the drop down list can be click to show the item list but it cant let user search a word on that cell.

so may i ask how do u achieve this?
