Coordinate Conversion Help

Hi all,
I need to convert coordinates from DEG MM.DDD to DEG.DDD I have attached a spreadsheet with the coordinates i need to to convert.

Maybe this:

=B2+C2/60 and =D2-E2/60

Your data layout, with no signs applied to minutes, has a problem. Quito, Ecuador, for example, has a latitude of about 0.25 degrees South. How would you represent that?

This would not be a problem for me as i only deal with coordinates in canada. But thank you for your insight
