    Iteration continuously increases

I currently have a set of data that when it iterates it comes to a final reasonable number but when I add more data that is similar to the data already in the workbook it continuously increases.

    Excel books attached:

Before - Original workbook that performs correctly

After - Workbook that continuously increases
Changes: Added data to worksheet named "Week14"

Iteration I am interested in is Column E on worksheet named "Value"

The workbook has circular references in columns E and G -- cells that refer back to themselves in some chain of calculation. I'd make a suggestion, but I don't know what you're doing.
Entia non sunt multiplicanda sine necessitate

I know that they have circular references but if you turn on iterative calculations you will see what I mean. Excel Options -> Formulas -> Enable Iterative Calculations

Before has iterations that stop even when you recalculate (F9) but the after continuously increases

I know what iteration is, but not knowing what you're trying to do with those looooonng formulas, would have no way to interpret the result or diagnose the problem.

Sorry I misunderstood your previous post.

What I am trying to do is take the average of all the opponents value they have played. So the formulas in the column labeled opp value is using vlookup to find the diffvalue of each team in that row

The intention is to add strength of schedule into the overall value of the team

I don't understand why it has worked for 12+ weeks but now doesn't work with this weeks data added in

    Re: Iteration continuously increases

I am having the same error. I was doing a similar Excel File, that calculated circularly. Everything was working great. Then around the 100th worksheets, the numbers started getting whacky. They are are supposed to be in the -20 to 20 range, but are now ranged from 100 to 135.

Did anyone ever find a solution to this problem? Even if I remove the last twenty worksheets I created, the calculations don't go back to their normal range.

    Re: Iteration continuously increases

I did solve my problem by deleting the worksheet that was causing the problems and creating a new worksheet with the same name. It ended up iterating correctly and haven't had a problem since. Sorry that it is probably not a solution that will solve your problem. It's weird that it does that
