Pulling data from matrixes on other sheets using a drop down menu

    Hi,
I'm using Excel 2007. I'm trying to create a formula that will make relatively basic (I hope) calculations using data from several matrixes that correspond to different geographical regions. A simple example using wine is attached. In this example, I would like to be able to plug in data on the first sheet about a particular sale (locality sold, age of wine in year sold, year sold, and number of bottles) and have it calculate the final sales price using data from the relevant locality matrix (e.g., for New York pull from the New York matrix, and for California the California matrix) and which matches the criteria for the particular sale.

This seems like it may require a very complicated If/Then setup, which may be beyond my very basic skills. Can anybody put me on the right track?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

    See the attached.

It would also be a good idea to change the version of Excel that you are showing in your profile from 2003 to 2007

Wow! This is great. It will take me a while to decode the formula but this is precisely what I was looking for. And thanks for the tip on my profile -- it's been updated.

    Thanks again!
