Double Click to move data to a new cell

I would like help on how to do this. One sheet 2 I have a blank cell for a item number needed there. Instead of typing the number in on sheet 2 I could just go to sheet 1, find the number needed and double click the cell and have that number go to sheet 2 into the cell for that number. That way I could just browse through the item numbers on sheet 1, double click and it's filled into the black cell on sheet 2. Sheet 2 would be like a blank sheet I would use over and over, then rename and save as what I need. I'm kind of new to formulas thanks for your help. Rocky
