Round Decimals

I need to round decimals to the 2nd decimal place: 1.045 needs to be 1.05. If I just format number to 2 decimal places, it will appear as 1.05 on the Excel sheet, but the data is still 1.045, so when I convert to text file, nothing is changed. I need to permanently get rid of every decimal place after the 2nd one.

there is a "Precision as Displayed" option but it's generally best avoided
