****Solved****
I have to sheets, one is a currentinventory and one is a packing slip. I want to be able to fill out the packing slip and have it adjust my inventory sheet. Can anyone show me how? Files are attached.

With both workbooks opened, try:
=SUMPRODUCT(--('[Denver.xls]Packing slip'!$B$13:$B$37=A4),'[Denver.xls]Packing slip'!$F$13:$F$37)
copied down.
You might need to adjust the Total formula in I4 to: =B4-G4+H4 to account for the negative adjustment due to shipping...
Where there is a will there are many ways.

I think I just plain dont know how to work it. In my mind when I fill out the packing slip it automatically adjusts my inventory based on the numbers I input on the packing slip. does it look for the numbe on the packing slip in the iventory sheet and updfate?
Ok, It works perfectly.. Thank you very much...
