Build an averaging style calculator?

Hi all,
I would like to build a calculator that does the following.
If I put a row of sales by the hour in column A. First being 10am second being 11am all the way through to 9pm.
These would be last years sales. I can setup a formula so if I enter a figure into column B next to one of last years numbers then I can get a percentage variance. That's about as skilled as I am at excel.
What I would like to be able to do is have a calculator setup so I can enter all the last years figures and then have a cell I can enter current live sales at a particular time and if I enter the particular time in another cell then the calculator will give me a percentage based on projecting the average between the two closest hours. Eg. If 12pm last year was $5000 and 1pm was $7000 then if I entered $6000 at 12:30pm this year the calculator would say 0%.
Hope that makes sense.

I'm also thinking if I can get this to work I could just enter the daily total for last year and work out a trading history by percentage per hour so the hourly marks would have percentages added.

For some reason the bit on the side where you can put the specific time and sales doesn't
seem to work when I import to numbers or excel apps on my iPad. It's showing it works in the safari browser though. Is it likely to work on my PC?

It will work on your PC. The only thing to watch out for is keeping the formatting of the time the same.
You can download MS Excel on your iPad but I have only tested it on PC so I'm not 100% of the difference in functionality.
