    Advanced Lookup

I want to do an advanced lookup and the Index Match function is not working for me. In the attached spreadsheet I have a tab labeled WorkRvu that list 10 physician, I wanted to look their Financial Class - HMO total on the next tab.

Ex - Physician 1 should return a value of 511.98 based on the information on the second tab. Does anyone have a formula that would pull this?

    Thanks!

    Re: Advanced Lookup

After correcting the spelling of Physician in Data sheet, column B, then try in B3:

    =SUMIF(Data!D:D,A3&"HMO",Data!E:E)

    copied down.

Bonus: Better formula for Data!D3: =CONCATENATE(LOOKUP(REPT("z",255),B$3:B3),C3) copied right down the column...

Ok I ran into a bit of a snag, what happens when there are two HMO's? Take a look at the attached sheet.

What is supposed to happen? Right now it is summing all occurrences.
