    Question Vb code for meeting arrangement

    Hello,
    I wonder if anyone can help on this problem? There are 51 people will meet on 25 different days, each day there would be 17 meeting each meeting will consist of 3 people (3*17=51) at the end of 25th.day every person would have met any other person once and nobody meet twice.can you please help with vb code if possible

    I don't believe a solution exists for that arrangement.

    i googled for social golfer problem, but does not help me to solve this meeting arrangement.
    i was hoping one of you excel gurus my have some clue or suggestion might help to solve it.

    If you read the links, then you read that some very good mathematicians have studied these problems for almost 150 years and solved a few dozen specific ones.

    Try as we might, I don't think we're going to best them.

    Hello Sgh,
    You’re right about mathematicians ,but fortunately for us we have the advantage of computer,that might help us to solve some of the problems they could not solve. Maybe
    nobody tried to solve this big arrangement problem?i’m hoping there is someone would give me some clue or help on this.Or am I to optimistic to hope for something impossible?
    I will never know unless I try, or seek help.

    Figuring out a formula to do the math is the key and I have to say that I don't know where to start with this one...sorry. Maybe some sort of looping formula or Do until that keeps going until all of the matches have been made?

    now is finding Vb code to distribute combination to 17 meeting and 25 days.the website link is;
