    Specialized SUM

    Hello again,

    Sheet 1:

    ====
    A=========B

    1 Orange========5
    2 Banana=======10
    3 Apple=========2
    4 Orange========2
    5 Apple=========6

    Sheet 2:

    In Sheet 2, i want to make a list with all the fruits, and at the next cell
    of every fruit, i want excel to automatically sum the quantity of every fruit from sheet 1.
    Of course based on the numbers, not the times a fruit name appears. In our example
    it would be:

    ====
    A=========B

    1 Orange========7
    2 Banana=======10
    3 Apple=========8

    (The actual list will be pretty long)
    Thank you!

    Re: Specialized SUM

    Try a Pivot Table.

    Where there is a will there are many ways.
