    Question Sort by frequency?

    Hello together!
I have a question: I have a specific column where I have already sorted alphabeticly, but now I would like to see the frequency of each club in this case.

So in the end it should be like:
    Abonyi... 2
    Acsi... 13

Or is it easier to just go through the document and count it?

I already saw that one can copy each club somehow, but could you please help me? Iīm a total beginner =/

    With best regards

Your profile says you are using 2003 but the file is at least a 2007 file. Assuming you have 2007, Copy your list (col D) to elsewhere (i.e. Col G), then select col G and Data Tab> Remove Duplicates. That should give you a unique list.

Then in H2 dragged down, use this formula
    =COUNTIF($D$2:$D$3997,G2)
    Does that work for you?

The unique list has worked successfully, thanks for that already.

But the formula doesnīt seem to work, it says that itīs not guilty.

Smile Identify words in an excel column ( list of businesses)

    Hi
I have a column of businesses names approximately 40,000. I want to identify and then remove all with specific works in their names. For example

    ANGELA S SANTOS VFW POST
    ANGELAS FOOD MART
    ANGELAS PIZZA & PASTA
    ANGELETTES CAJUN KITCHEN
CORKYS ROCK N ROLL BAR & GRILL
    ANGELINA DOLLAR DISCOUNT INC
    ANGELINAS COFFEE & YOGURT
    ANGELINAS PIZZERIA & PASTA
    ANGELINA'S PIZZERIA & PASTA
    ANGELINAS PIZZERIA INC
    LE RIVAGE

Example of the words I would like to use
    PIZZA, PIZZA, GRILL, RESTAURANT, PIZZERIA
    ANGELA S SANTOS VFW POST
    ANGELAS FOOD MART
    ANGELAS PIZZA & PASTA TRUE
    ANGELETTES CAJUN KITCHEN
CORKYS ROCK N ROLL BAR & GRILL TRUE
    ANGELINA DOLLAR DISCOUNT INC
    ANGELINAS COFFEE & YOGURT
    ANGELINAS PIZZERIA & PASTA TRUE
    ANGELINA'S PIZZERIA & PASTA TRUE
    ANGELINAS PIZZERIA INC TRUE
    LE RIVAGE

I know it’s possible. Just have not been able to work it out. Have already gotten one excellent function from here =COUNTIF($E$2:$E$4826,$G$2:$G$4000). Hoping for another

    Mark
