    Question Finding ratio in excel

    Hello,
    I've encountered the following dificulty, on which I'll be very gratefull if you can help me. I have to calculate the following: I have the weekly amounts of deposits per office and I separate them by the following criteria: amount of new oppened deposits, ammount of renewed deposits, amount of closed deposits. I want to make the following corelation:

    1) What is the amount of the total amount of new opened deposits towards the total amount of the deposits (in percentage)
    2) What is the amount of the Renewed deposits towards the closed deposits;
    3) What is the amount of the Closed deposits towards all the deposits

    Basically I know how to calculate the ratio, but the problem that I find is that is one of the amounts is much biger than the other (for example the renewed are 100 000 EUR, and the closed are 100 EUR) the percentege hits the sky - like 100 000 %. I now that the problem is that I try to compare ammounts and is normal to have such figures, but I will be very gratefull if you can help me find better way to caclulate the abovementioned correlations. I want to have reliable indication for each one of those ratios, but escaping the BIG numbers.

    Thank you very much in advance

    This isn't so much an Excel question as one of data presentation.

    If you want to show the ratio of renewed:closed and it's a large number, then you cannot escape the fact that it's a large number. The other option is to express it as a number (1000) instead of a percentage (100 000%).
