Creating validation List using vlookup
Hi,
I have an excel sheet where I want to lookup for values in a table as a list in one of the fields based on the selection made in two fields. I don't want to create names as there are lot of combinations.

In order to include just those fields, you would have to sort the table by column A and then by column B... then you can apply formula to Data Validation|List selection as:
If you can't/won't sort, then you have to extract the list of matches outside the table via helper formulas and then reference that list...

Thank you and pardon my ignorance as I am new excel user. As far as I know, I can not write any formulae in the Validation-List. Would appreciate if you could attach spreadsheet with a solution.
