    search and replace

    hi,

I can't find a way of replacing a certian character in all cells.
in my case the problem is i have many cells that look like this "blah blah"
i want to replace the quote marks to [ ] so that all cells would be like this: [blah blah]

    thanks!!

    Yuval.

could you use this formula...not sure what all your rules are

this will work if you have your text strings in a column...if they are randomly throughout your workbook and you want to do with using "Find" and "Replace" then I don't think it's possible since you are trying to replace one character with two difference characters
